A Simple Concept That Just Works
The premise couldn’t be much simpler—you play as two mischievous geese whose goal is to complete objectives while making life as inconvenient as possible for the people around you.
The controls are easy to learn, so within minutes we were less focused on learning the game and more focused on figuring out what kind of chaos we could create.
What surprised me most was how much fun it was simply discovering what to do next. Each area felt like its own little puzzle. Instead of the game holding your hand, it encourages you to experiment until something clicks.
We did get stuck once and ended up looking for a hint online, but other than that, figuring things out together was part of the fun.
The Best Moments Were the Ones We Created
The funniest parts weren’t always the objectives.
They were the moments in between.
Our favorite area was probably the farmer’s garden. Since it was the first area in the game, we were still discovering everything the geese could do. Every stolen item, every honk, and every prank felt like we were uncovering another way to annoy him.
Another highlight was one resident who was peacefully trying to read his newspaper. We somehow managed to hide all of his belongings on the other side of a fence and then watched him wander around trying to figure out where everything had gone. We probably spent far longer than necessary making his day miserable, but that’s exactly what made it so funny.

One thing worth mentioning is that couch co-op uses a shared screen.
That means you can’t wander too far away from each other, but honestly, I think it makes the experience better.
We’d explore as much as the camera allowed until we had an idea of what the objective was. Then we’d work together to make it happen…
…well, most of the time.
We weren’t always on the same page, and those unexpected moments usually became some of the funniest parts of the game.
The shared screen naturally encourages communication and teamwork without making it feel forced.

When I first saw the price, I honestly thought $19.99 felt a little expensive for a game that only took us about two hours to finish.

If my girlfriend and I go out for dinner or to see a movie, we’ll easily spend more than that for a couple of hours together without thinking twice.
Instead, we spent an evening laughing, solving puzzles, and creating ridiculous situations that we’ll probably joke about for a while.
When I compare it to other ways we’d spend a couple of hours together, it actually feels like a pretty good value—especially since we’ll likely go back and try the additional objectives.

Untitled Goose Game reminded me that not every great game has to be massive or complicated.
Sometimes all you need are two geese, a few unsuspecting villagers, and a friend sitting next to you on the couch.
